I Am A Mother Of Three Beautiful Children - 1275 Words

My name is Alice Rose Brown and I live in Long Island, New York with my beautiful family. A little about me, I am 32 years of age (born February 4th, 1909) and live in a beautiful estate just a few minutes from the beach. I am married to the love of my life, Arthur James Brown. I am a mother of three beautiful children. Charles Caleb Brown being the eldest of three is 10 and is enrolled in Octavian Day School. Grace Anne Brown she is the middle of the three children and is 8 years of age also enrolled in Octavian Day School. Lastly David Joe Brown is 3 years old and is one smart kid! Since my husband Arthur owns the largest and most popular Golf club in the Hamptons the kids and i like to spend our time there. The business is going great†¦show more content†¦Farmers crop prices fell approximately 60%, the unemployment rate raised to 25% nationwide. During the Great Depression I was in my early adult years and just married Arthur. Our life was not easy because Arthur could no t find a good paying job and prices where high while the salary was low. The Great Depression hit both upper, middle and lower class hard. Many people in our society have a very interesting point of view on The Great Depression. They say that In the nation s collective conscience, Herbert Hoover continues to be the primary guilty man for the severity of the depression from 1929 to 1932 and Franklin Delano Roosevelt is often times seen as a White Knight who came in to save the day in 1933. What I believe is very different. my opinion on The Great Depression is that Hoover actively intervened in the economy, advocating and implementing policies that were quite similar to those that Franklin Roosevelt later implemented. Policy such as â€Å"Laissez-faire† a policy or attitude of letting things take their own course with little to none interfering of the government. WW1 began July 28th 1914 and ended november 11 1918. The war began in Europe On August 1, 1914, four days after Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia, two more great European powers—Russia and Germany—declare war on each other. â€Å"The event that was widely
